MTI Standards &Quality Policy

The following figure illustrates which standards &quality policy MTI uses on its control cabinets. Please click on a label to receive additional information.

a - Frequency Converter

Electronic control unit for controlling mixing drives used by MTI.

The frequency converters specially designed for the given requirements have extensive power reserves that guarantee a stable speed with optimized torque on the mixing tool.

Manufacturer - EmotronIncreased peak torque up to 320% of the rated load torque of the motors used by MTI.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

b - Safety Load Break Switch

Technically mature systems require a high technical safety standard.

In accordance with the standard, MTI uses reliable 3-pole load break switches with fuse line as system, cable and circuit breaking for the main heating and cooling mixer drives.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

c - Power Contractor

Depending on the status of the respective drives used that are designed for use under difficult conditions, the associated power contractors are generously dimensioned for our heating and cooling mixers.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

d - Tab Fuses

Fusing as system protection and circuit breaking.
Implementation according to need.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

e - Automatic Circuit Breakers

Internal control voltage and circuits are selected by us via automatic circuit breakers and fused.

MTI always pays attention to the technical safety defaults for fusing downstream components and systems within the invidual electric and stress circuit.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

f - Power Supply

MTI uses power supplies from experienced manufactures in order to maintain contant control voltages, in this case control voltage 24V DC potential-free, short circuit and no-load proof.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

g - Load Break Switch

Separation from the main power netework is achieved by a load break switch functioning as a mains voltage isolator.
It is operated by an ergonomically arranged handle in the switching door.

Control cabinet power supply
40 kW-750 kW

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

h - PLC (automation system)

Reached by a programmable control unit (PLC), if needed.

The connection between the automation system and the system components is achieved on the Profibus level.
Depending on equipment status, continued operation of the mixer systems can be converted to a graphical control terminal, e.g. an OP 170 B Siemens make.

Automation system type:
Simatic S7-300
CPU313C or CPU313C-2 DP

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

i - Safety Relays and Switching Devices

For monitoring independent safety circuits, e.g. standstill monitoring of mixing tools, etc.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

j - Control / Safety Relays and Switching Devices

Monitoring of emergency stop safety circuits (call from emergency stop button) and the mixer locking mechanism.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

k - Coupling Relays / Potential-free Contacts

Separation between different voltage potentials internally / externally.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

l - Measuring Transducer

Analog (normalized) input and output signals are processed for transmission and further use in the automation system (PLC).

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

m - Plug-in Connectors

Plug-in connector lines to connect the MTI control cabinet to the circuit / terminal boxes of the mixing system

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

n - Terminal Strips

Area for connecting optional peripheral and field devices, e.g. signal elements in accustical and/or optical implementation.

Technical implementation in accordance with:
EN 60204-1

o - Equipotential Bonding

EN 60204-1
