The Project
When planning a new compounding plant for the production of PVC roof membranes, maximum specific output combined with minimum energy consumption was one of the key issues. The existing space conditions made special demands on the design of all the plant components.
The Solution
To minimize energy consumption and thus also keep costs as low as possible, the mixing process and the dry-blend properties were optimized in such a way that a downstream cooling mixer could be dispensed with completely. With this highly efficient production line, IKO is in a position to produce its compound reproducibly in previously unattained quality.
